Love For Music Developing

He moved on to becoming a disciple of the legendary Ustad Amir Khan, in the year 1942. Despite his deep humility towards the meditative style of his guru, Ustad Amir Khan Saheb, his own meditative rendering of the raga became another special signature of the Indore gharana, to which he proudly came to belong. He became the rarest of rare musicians with his extraordinary sense of moorchana, or the awareness of many musical scales when rendering a particular scale, which was his darshan of the virat in his singing. As a result he sang a moorchana-ang khayal, which also led to his discoveries of many new ragas. Starting with Amarkali, he discovered for the parampara the ragas Odav Asavari, Shyam Bhoop, Gunaranjani, Kafi Malhar, Maru Basant, and renamed Pancham Kalyan, from its moorchana of the note Pa, in Puriya Kalyan.
